oin us for a day of community and the arts during Spring Break! Explore arts activities and enjoy music during a day that honors the Barelas community. Art activities include paper architecture, maracas, weaving, and chance to explore historic photos of the NHCC. Vicente Griego will lead guests in a sing-along featuring music from the John Donald Robb New Mexico music archives. Barelas neighborhood community organizations, such as Barelas Senior Center, Barelas Community Center, Los Jardines and more, will share information about their programs. Celebrate Earth Day at the NHCC with art activities, music, film, and poetry for all! Take a stroll along the Bosque and honor our beautiful earth through the arts. Guests will explore bats with RD Wildlife and native seeds with the US Forest Service. Express your love of the earth through poetry and take a poetry walk with the New Mexico Poetry Society. Art activities include plein air painting on the bosque and other nature-inspired projects connecting art and science. Tierra Adentro Charter School Dance Ensemble will present a flamenco pre-film performance. Finish out the day with a free film screening of the award-winning Brazilian animated children's film, Boy & The World.

Investigate different methods of printmaking techniques and materials inspired by the Museum exhibition, Nexo Entre Rafces. Museum admission is free during this Dfa de Familia. Enjoy music and dance presentations that explore cultural roots.
